One of my favorite 2014 weddings was featured on Nebraska Wedding Day Magazine and Blog's website! Rebecca & Evan's weddings was so unique and beautiful. The Prairie Club provided a gorgeous background for this couple and their family to witness exchanging of vows. Check out their wedding here.
I was so excited to see that our Styled Wedding Shoot with Cherry Blossom Paperie was featured on A Paper Proposal! Check it out here!
Yay, a blog post! I'm so excited to update the blog with this wedding straight out of my dreams! Seriously, I loved everything about this day, this couple, their family, EVERYTHING! They chose to have a small, intimate gathering at the Prairie Club Golf Course south of Valentine, Nebraska. There was no fuss with a large wedding party, just their immediate family and themselves; so representative of their personalities. Enjoy!
Thank you SO much to this couple and their family. I have never met such sincere and kind people! Blessings to your marriage.

I was honored (and completely shocked) when Nebraska Wedding Day Magazine asked me to shoot a fashion spread for their 2014 Spring Issue. It was so much fun and quite the experience for this country girl :-) This magazine is chock full of beautiful and classy inspiration for any bride wanting ideas for their wedding. Copies are available to purchase in most stores including Walgreens, Safeway, and on the NWD website, www.neweddingday.com.
A few weeks before the release I was surprised with even more great news....they chose one of my images for the cover!!!!!!
Proof (mainly to myself) that it's actually mine!!! ;-)
A 6-page spread of gorgeous bridal gowns in a garden inspired location.
In case you couldn't see who took these......... ;-)
AND,
Danielle and Clint's wedding was featured in the Real Wedding's section! One of my favorite weddings of 2013.

I am beyond excited to share this styled wedding shoot! This has been a year's worth of brainstorming, stressing ;-), and just plain fun seeing what a few creative people can come up with. I hope you enjoy! (I got a little carried away editing, so please, if you have time, scroll to the end...it'll be worth it!)

I am obsessed with this wedding! I couldn't take enough pictures of the bride in her GORGEOUS gown and then when you put the bride and groom together...I was swooning to say the least ;-)
I just couldn't narrow down this preview so if I lost ya half-way through, I'm sorry!
See what I mean???? Stunning!
And the groom was just as handsome...
This couple decided to have a "First Look" before the ceremony and it was so cute!
And they danced the evening away!
Thanks again to this couple and their families who were so great to work with.

I will NEVER complain about getting rain in this country or having cool, overcast skies to filter that harsh sun from our precious grass. But it sure makes it hard to have bright, beautiful photographs! But you get what you get, and I think Terrel's senior pictures turned out great! (And the wind was blowing 30 mph but thankfully boys don't have to worry about their hair getting messed up).

I was so happy I could squeeze in this session while home in Idaho. They wanted some pictures for Mother's Day and I'm honored they chose me to capture this gift :-)
I have no doubt these sisters will be close their entire lives...
This little girly wasn't too happy with the cold weather...
...or me taking her picture...
...but she warmed up eventually!

It was wonderful to be back home in Idaho for a bit, and the cherry on top was photographing this gorgeous, over-the-top wedding! You could tell that every little detail of this wedding was carefully thought out and planned. I love my DIY brides!
I met up with the bride (and her adorable daughter) for some getting ready shots...
Tileena's bouquet....no words....
The bride and groom...also no words :-)
You can't tell, but the wind was blowing at least 30 mph. No joke. But they didn't care! Love them!
The girls were having fun...
...and so were the guys.
The details of this wedding were so personal and unique. You could tell the bride and her family put many hours into making everything.
Welcome to the new face of Chelsie Moreland Photography! I am beyond excited to have this new blog for my clients to see their session and wedding sneak peaks. It's been a work in progress the past few months but definitely worth it!
I thought I'd introduce my new blog with a wedding I second shot for this summer with Alissa Ferullo. I always look forward to helping her each year and am beyond thankful for the opportunities she gives me being able to photograph these weddings.
The groom was handsome as ever...
I was in love with the bride and bridesmaids attire. So simple and elegant.
The ceremony was jaw-dropingly beautiful! It was held at the Sheridan Equestrian Center in Sheridan, Wyoming.
After the ceremony, we ventured off with the lovely couple to take advantage of the evening light. I think we got some great shots!

What better thing to do on a freezing cold December day then take family pictures? :-) I was honored to photograph this family just a few short days before Christmas, watching them enjoy being together as a family, even if it's only during the holidays.
We ventured back to the house to warm up a bit. This family owns the local veterinarian clinic so it's fitting to have a house full of animals!
It was a blast spending a cool, crisp morning with this family. I hope to do it again!
Happy New Year everyone!

I had no intention of wanting any more kids for awhile until I spent a few hours with these little ones the other day. Little man was beyond cute and so itty bitty and then his big sister was a ball of energy and imagination. I had a great time with this family just hanging out at their house, capturing those in-between moments of their life that end up being the most precious.
He had the cutest expressions...
Little Miss Hadley was a very energetic 3-year-old...
...who was not afraid to pose for me...
The many looks of a 3-year-old...
Thanks again to this family for welcoming me into your home and allowing me to photograph your growing family.

Oh my, where has the time gone? Our Fi is one and already driving!!! ;-)
We are so proud of our niece and love watching her grow up...and I LOVE being able to photograph this family. Seriously, so cute!
We had to maneuver around some tricky light and a not-so-happy Fi, but I think we got some great shots.
I couldn't get over the look on her face in this next one.... :-)
We all love you so much, Fiora. Happy Birthday!
These two will be getting hitched next year in Iowa, but they chose Nebraska for their engagement pictures. I was beyond flattered! It was rather windy this morning, but I still think we managed to get some great shots.
Thanks again you two for driving so far to visit us. Come back again!
I couldn't have ended this year's wedding season any better than with this couple. I've never been to a wedding with so much emotion, attention to detail, and love, of course :-)
It was a rather chilly day, but that didn't dampen the spirits of anybody! I started off the afternoon with some gorgeous details...
Kyleen, seriously, you are BEAUTIFUL!
The ceremony details were lovely and everything Sandhills. No better place to live (even if we have an occasional earthquake and 60 mph winds ;-).
These two waited to see each other until the ceremony. It was very emotional and I had a hard time keeping it together...
...especially when you see a groom like this!
After the ceremony I had some time with just the bride and groom; my favorite part of the day!
It was cold, but my brides are prepared...
And they didn't even care :-)
From the bride:
"Matt and I met eight years ago at a rodeo through my current boss. He was in Michigan for one month and we met his last week in town. We went on one date while in MI and then I flew out to visit him in Minnesota. Three months later, I moved out there to be with him. It's all pretty much downhill from there ;-) I LOVED how the wedding turned out. I was stressed a bit the day of, but it all fell into place. We were so happy to see so much of our family make the drive to be here with us. I still can't believe it's already over!
We chose the ceremony venue because we wanted to get married on the ranch, that's who we are, ranchers. Angel had always envisioned a wedding in her front yard and was so gracious to open her home to everyone to make our dream come true. The reception was chosen because it was close to Comfort Inn ;-) I LOVE the color orange and green and brown went right along with it. They were the perfect fall colors. Angel did all the decorations at her home, she is amazing at what she does!!!!"
Thanks again you two for such a great day!
I started off the day with Jim and Tessa's "First Look." It was magic from then on.
They didn't say much to each other, because they didn't have to. When you've been together with someone since middle school, like these two, the love for one another is so evident; the way they look at each other, the unspoken words replaced by love letters read on your wedding day, or simply the way he grabs for her hand. That's the kind of love I love. It was such an honor to capture that love.
I was also honored to have Jim & Tessa's wedding featured on Nebraska Wedding Day's Blog! Click HERE to view their post.
The details of this wedding blew me away.
And you can't forget about the lovely couple!
More details :-) Seriously, I couldn't get enough.
All of the decorations were made by the bride and bride's mother, including these amazing lights. Loved them!
Thanks again you two for being so great to work with. Blessings to you!
This girl has the biggest, sweetest, prettiest smile that I've seen in a long time! I couldn't get enough of her!
Here's a sneak-peak of the first of two sessions we'll be doing together.
A girl after my own heart! When Emilee told me she had a show heifer (I showed steers growing up) I was so excited to see what we'd come up with. These shots with her "girl" were my favorites :-)
After months of planning, your wedding day is over in a flash. How are you going to remember that day forever? WHAT are you going to show your family? Your future children? Future grand-children!?
How about a wedding album! Yes, in this day-in-age of CDs, you may not know what an actual wedding album from your photographer looks like ;-) The CD has its place and I do include a CD of images in all of my packages, but what I look forward to the most as a wedding photographer is the end product of your custom-designed wedding album. Nothing makes me happier knowing that I helped create a family's first heirloom.
I am so passionate about these albums that I include one in ALL of my wedding packages. What do they look like? Take a look...
There are many cover options available. We can work together and choose a cover to best fit your wedding style.
Here are a few examples of the page layouts:
My design style is to keep the pages clean and modern with lots of white space; nothing too cluttered.
All of the pages are "lay-flat" style with no gutter, so pictures are able to print across the entire spread.
A sweet reminder from my little man to stop working while he's awake :-)
